Internship in Arts Administration

Become part of the team providing high quality music education experiences to San Diego's most talented, young, aspiring musicians. San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory is the 6 th oldest youth orchestra program in the United States , serving over 450 students between the ages of 8 and 25. Concerts are performed at Copley Symphony Hall and rehearsals are held in Balboa Park and the San Diego Musicians Union.

The Intern is responsible for database entry and mailings for the development and marketing department, and will be involved in ticket services before concerts. Other administrative tasks including filing and photocopying will be assigned by other departments.

 
Candidates should have:

•  a positive attitude
•  strong computer skills and know Microsoft Office

•  excellent attention to detail
•  good customer service skills

•  excellent database entry skills

The Internship is approximately 10 hours per week starting in August 2008.
