Conservatory!
The
San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory inspires students at
all levels to expand their passion for music and to be their personal
best. Our professional faculty of conductors, instructors and
specialists create exciting and meaningful musical experiences
for students and parents alike.
We
have carefully structured our program so that students audition
for placement in the ensemble that is appropriate to their skill
level. The full range of ensembles gives every student a place
to become their personal best in the midst of others at a similar
level. The small ensembles and classes we offer provide a unique
and varied experience which enables students to experience a wide
range of musical activities in addition to their primary large
ensemble. We are committed to providing access to all of our programs
for students with financial or special needs.
The
San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory strongly encourages
students to participate in their school music programs and to
take private lessons on their instrument whenever possible. The
weekly instruction we provide is intended to strengthen students'
musical and leadership skills, as well as to afford them with
the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of quality musical
activities. Students in our programs have the opportunity to share
their talents each week in large ensembles with other gifted student
musicians from throughout Southern California , as well as to
discover other interests in music classes and small ensemble experiences.
The reputation for excellence and prestigious annual performance
opportunities provided by our programs, make the San Diego Youth
Symphony and Conservatory and ideal place for students to pursue
their musical training.
