About Concert Strings

Our Concert Strings ensemble provides an important pedagogy development and performance ensemble to advance string players. Students will learn important concepts of left and right hand technique, vibrato, shifting and bowings and articulation, tone production, intonation, balance and blend. Repertoire will include music for string orchestra representing various periods and styles. Students will perform in multiple concerts each season.

Students normally have at least one or two years of school band experience or private instruction Placement is by audition. Rehearsals will be held on Sundays from 1:30pm-3:15pm.
