Annual Performing Arts College Fair
Saturday, November 19th, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. • Casa Del Prado, Balboa Park
Meet representatives from universities and conservatories from across the country to discover the many options students have to continue their music education! Don't miss the opportunity to attend master classes with esteemed music professors from top-ranked universities.
This year we are offering half-hour master classes in different instruments for our students. Faculty from select schools will be joining us to offer master classes on violin, viola, cello, trumpet, trombone and saxophone.
So far, 2011 attendees include:
- The Herb Alpert School of Music, Calarts
- San Francisco Conservatory of Music
- USC Thornton School of Music
- UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture
- University of California, San Diego
- Chapman University
- Pepperdine University
- San Diego State University
- University of Redlands
- The Boston Conservatory
- University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music
- University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
These free master classes are open to the public and will begin at 1:15 p.m. The classes are for junior and senior students and are first come, first served.
We will conclude the day with a mock audition and a panel of participating colleges, sharing valuable information on college applications, audition preparation, different programs offered by the schools and more.
The College Fair will be on Saturday, November 19 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at our Balboa Park rehearsal location.
