SDYS prides itself on our commitment to provide any student who dreams of playing an instrument the opportunity to realize those dreams. No student is turned away from SDYS due to financial circumstance. You can help SDYS Make Music Education Accessible and Affordable for All by underwriting student scholarships and outreach programs for our student musicians in need!

$100 Family Ticket Sponsorship

150 families need financial assistance in buying tickets to SDYS concerts so they are able to see their students perform.

$500 Single Student Scholarship

This season 140 students required full tuition scholarships to be able to participate in SDYS programs. The number of students in need of financial assistance rises each year.

$1,000 Family Sponsorship

SDYS has 140 families that need financial assistance for their student’s tuition fees and family tickets to a full season of concerts.

$1,500 One Year of Private Lessons

Underwrite a year of private music lessons with an expert instructor for students who would not be able to afford lessons otherwise.

$1,500 One Year of Group Lessons

Underwrite a year of music lessons with an expert instructor for a group of students of need.

$1,500 Community Family Sponsorship

Sponsor a family from one of our community partnerships. SDYS provides the students with full tuition scholarships and supports the families with free concert tickets for the season and bus transportation to large ensemble performances, along with an annual student t-shirt.

$2,500 Principal Musician Sponsorship

$3,000 Season of Community Performances

Underwrite small ensemble performances at other nonprofits and community venues.

$5,000–$10,000 Community Partnership Sponsor

Underwrite our partnerships in which we provide private and group lessons, on-site auditions, tuition scholarships, bus transportation, and performance opportunities for students at UCSD Preuss School and La Jolla Music Society’s Community Music Center.
